Our songwriting club is our most popular after-school session yet, and it's easy to see why. It blends musical creativity with language and lyric writing, giving kids a fun, expressive outlet to build confidence and explore their musical talents. Perfect for sparking creativity and collaboration.
Our Latest Club: Cardinal Newman
We have thrilled to announce that we have recently introduced a weekly after-school Songwriting Club at Cardinal Newman Catholic School.
This club is for Year 7 - Year 11 and takes place every Thursday 3:15PM - 4:15PM. The cost per week is £10.
If you’d like your child to be considered for a place, simply click the button below to register your interest.
We are also always open to working with new schools, so if you would like to see us running a club at your child's secondary school, drop us a note and we'll make it happen!
What Our Songwriting Clubs look Like
Our after-school Songwriting Clubs are a lively, confidence-boosting experience for young people aged 11–16. Each session blends games, guided creativity and hands-on music-making to help students find their voice and have a lot of fun along the way.
Students learn the building blocks of song craft – verse, chorus and bridge – and explore lyric writing, melody and rhythm. They'll write their own songs, collaborate in small groups, and try out a range of instruments we provide (no prior experience needed).
We also weave in gentle performance skills so they feel comfortable sharing their ideas.
By the end of term, pupils will:

Understand basic song structure (verse/chorus/bridge)

Co-write original songs and contribute lyrics and melodies

Try instruments and experiment with sounds

Build confidence, creativity and teamwork

Rehearse and perform their creations at a friendly showcase

Record their original songs in the recording studio
Clubs run weekly after school. Places are limited and often fill quickly; if a session is full, you can still register and we'll add your child to the waiting list, keeping you updated as soon as a space opens up.
Our Club Leaders
Our songwriting club leaders are experienced songwriters and musicians who are passionate about sharing their love of music with young adults. They are all DBS checked and skilled at creating a fun, supportive environment that encourages creativity and self-expression. With their guidance, those that attend our songwriting clubs feel confident to explore their musical potential and develop their songwriting skills.
